Anissa is the author of the book, Wild of Brain: An extraordinary life, two diagnoses, clues for the neuro-curious, hope for the struggling.
A systems change geek born with a strong sense of service, Anissa is passionate about creating a world that works for everyone. She has a long and colourful history of seeding and supporting community-led equity focussed initiatives and equity education as a not-for-profit professional in Aotearoa and internationally.Â
In her practice, the Wild of Brain Substack, retreats and workshops Anissa supports neurodivergent folks with client-led, strength-based, whole-brained and trauma informed approaches, reframing neurodivergence.
Anissa is passionate about raising awareness about neurodivergent wellbeing, hyperconnected nervous systems and how debilitating burnout can be, especially severe / complex autistic burnout. She works with local and international clients in-person & online, and is a fierce disability advocate.
Proudly autistic, ADHD+ and queer, Anissa also navigates life with chronic illness and trained as a certified Health Coach to better serve clients because so many neurokin navigate life with chronic health conditions so commonly co-occurring in our communities. She is based in Aotearoa New Zealand.
