I am a teacher with over 30 years’ experience. My Qualifications include

• B Ed
• M Env Ed
• Graduate Certificate Trauma – Aware Education
• Certificate 3 – Equine Assisted Learning – EAQ UK
• Certificate 3 – Applied Therapeutic Skills – EAQ UK
• Equestrian Australia Coach

For many years I had been struggling with my mental health and the expectations placed on teachers working in the special needs space. This all compounded in late 2023 when I became ill and was unable to continue in my position.

This continued into 2024 where I was placed on extended sick leave. As of 2025 I am still unable to continue as a teacher. During the recovery process I was diagnosed as AuADHD, I was 61 years old. This has been life changing. I now understand my processes and with medication I am regaining my life.
