Peter Linden
AuDHD Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Gestalt Therapist
Peter Linden is an AuDHD Gestalt therapist and licensed clinical social worker specializing in neurodivergent adults 25+ experiencing shame, social/familial ostracism, transphobia, homophobia, dread, loneliness, despair, and separateness in the world. Peter’s gradual acceptance of his neurodivergence began in 2013 after years of struggling academically, being shamed, and lacking the existential trust to fully emerge as himself. At this time, Peter was diagnosed with autism and later, ADHD.
Â
As Peter began unmasking, going beyond the safety of the mind, and authentically relating, he still felt unmoored, uncertain, alone, sad, and confused in the world. Relationships, by and large, did not feel nourishing and freeing. So, Peter enrolled in a clinical fellowship program at the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy, while serving impoverished clients in the Bronx, with the hope of finding a community, friendships, and the trust to emerge from shame.
Â
Through such experiences, Peter decided to serve neurodivergent adults by opening his private practice in Montclair, NJ. Peter is proud to be neurodivergent and welcomes opportunities to help his people.
